2011年福島第一原発事故後、上空から地上のガンマ線を探査する装置などの開発に取り組む

また、レーザー加工機向けの国産ヒノキ薄板や木工キットの販売を行うほか、創業・起業支援にも取り組む
1980年株式会社ウッドボックス創業者・山口雄二が横河電機株式会社(東京都武蔵野市)に入社

2023Developed, produced, and sold Hinohara Monogatari [HINOKI], the world’s first cypress-based alcoholic beverage
2022Developed, produced, and sold Hinohara Monogatari, a shochu made from Hinohara Village potatoes
2021Head office relocated from Ōtsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture to Hinohara Village, Tokyo
Kose Yoshida was appointed as the new Representative Director, and Yuji Yamaguchi assumed the role of Chairman
2020Appointed as a designated manager by Hinohara Village, Tokyo, and opened Hinohara Factory, a facility combining a café and a potato shochu distillery

2011After the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, WOODBOX engaged in the development of devices for aerial detection of ground-level gamma radiation
Since then, the company has continued to develop a range of electronic instruments, including residual radiation survey equipment for the Fukushima area, radiation measurement devices for medical institutions, and energy measurement systems for X-ray free-electron lasers (XFEL), contributing to the maintenance of national standards and fundamental physics research
2008After taking early retirement from Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Yamaguchi established WOODBOX INC. in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture
The company develops, designs, prototypes, manufactures, and sells precision electronic measuring instruments and systems, primarily for use in national and public research institutions, and also provides technical consulting services
In addition, WOODBOX supplies thin, natural hinoki wood sheets and woodworking kits for laser processing, while also supporting business startups and entrepreneurship
1980Yuji Yamaguchi, founder of WOODBOX INC., joined Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Musashino, Tokyo)
